Working closely with the forecasting and capacity team, you will use your planning and business acumen to determine the most efficient action to meet the forecasted demand across the network, taking numerous factors into consideration including individual requirements, movement costs and return on capital employed.
Responsibilities
- Chair the Logistics meetings with the key stakeholders to agree actions.
- Identify blockers and agree appropriate actions for remedy
- Review the latest forecast / logistics plan providing an early insight into potential fulfilment issues
- Efficiently manage the budget, ensuring load factor targets are met for branch to branch movements
- Work closely with the Capacity and Operations team
- Active role in the development of future group planning and optimization tools
- Availability against the agreed on rent and utilization targets
Detailed and analyses driven with strong communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work and adapt under strict time pressures
- Organized with a logical approach with a sound UK geographical knowledge
- Communicate with all levels of the business
- Must have strong analytical and planning skills – able to understand the source of the issue and provide solutions under own initiative
